Exhibition Reflection
This exhibition has been very stressful, yet exciting. We had many variables to this exhibition from all classes. My favorite, being the math exhibition. Although this project was the most difficult for me, I enjoyed the outcome the most. I loved displaying the game I worked hard to complete and seeing people interact with it. If we had more time, I believe that would work to make our plays better. Despite the night going well, we hit a few bumps with line memorization as well as props. Even though we do not get to change these mistakes, we still performed very well and I was proud to exhibit our plays. The play that we performed for exhibition was my personal story so I was given an upper hand in making sure it followed the events that actually occurred. I also played the main character which allowed me to channel the emotions I had felt into acting and make it more realistic. I worked with a partner in art as well. Unfortunately I did not get to help as much as I wished I could have, but I worked very hard and did my best. I believe we need to work on time management and collaboration in preparation for next year’s exhibition. If we had more time to make sure everyone memorized their lines and stage direction, I think the plays could have been even better. I know it was everyone’s own responsibility to learn these, but there were people that didn’t and it would be better to have everyone on top of their game. When I say we need to improve our collaboration, I mean that we should take a longer time to gain everyone’s ideas for how they want exhibition to look. I feel that I have used self advocacy for my habit of heart in this exhibition. I ran into many challenges during this exhibition including having to train subs for my play and changing my entire game the day before our exhibition. I didn’t cry and tried my best to keep complaining as little as possible. I remained professional and everything turned out how it was supposed to. I was very proud of everything I was exhibiting and that made for a very fun night.
